Concept and Idea
Democracy is predicated on principles of justice: protection of minorities, freedom, transparency, and diversity. Nowadays, these values are under pressure. Social media platforms play a pivotal role in this transformation, as they reshape how information is produced, distributed and perceived. Algorithmic systems reinforce polarisation, amplify unequal power structures and fragment shared realities.
The exhibition “Entangled in Democracy” examines how democratic structures are challenged within this digital landscape. By utilising spatial installations, data-driven works and immersive environments, the exhibition draws attention to the complex entanglement of individuals, media, technology and power.
Material
Democracy is a complex structure consisting of individuals, institutions, media, technology and power. Digital platforms are changing how democracy works. We are using fabric as a medium to translate these intertwined forces. Layers of different fabrics symbolise the multiple dimensions of democratic interaction. Molton is used to divide the room into different sections.

Narrative Structure
As visitors progress through the exhibition, they will find that the rooms become increasingly dark and abstract. Tulle and plastic are used as layers to distort projected videos and images and create an uncomfortable environment. The exhibition can be experienced on several levels. We use sound, video, images and lighting to create an immersive experience.
